Dear Residents,
Everyone is feeling the effects of COVID-19, but together, in time, we will get through this! We are all helping to flatten the curve and our residents have shown each other and the building staff great support. Thank you for your patience, solidarity and strength.

This week we want to highlight some of our local businesses and how to support them, how to stay active, and how to stir your creative juices. In addition, we have some great suggestions on what to watch besides Tiger King.

|
1. Support Local Businesses
Many local restaurants are offering black-glove curbside take-out and delivery. Please support some of our nearby favorites and enjoy a taste of a night out in the comfort of your home. Not only do these restaurants offer a great culinary experience, some are currently extending special offers:

d. Jean-Georges | Pick-Up Only

f. Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse | Pick-Up & Delivery
g. Din Tai Fung | Pick-Up & Delivery
h. Panini Kabob Grill | Free Delivery & Pick-Up

2. Work out and do it DAILY
Daily activity is critical to your health and well-being.
Luckily, we live in sunny Southern California and you have floor-to-ceiling windows, so the feeling of being outdoors is always present, something many people in colder climates are not experiencing at this time.
We hope you are enjoying our daily, LIVE online classes (check the fitness tab on the app for dates and times) and the pre-recorded videos from last week (check out our YouTube Channel for new content weekly!). To keep things interesting, our Wellness & Performance team has put together “Run Routes” in case you choose to leave the building for an outdoor activity, while maintaining social distancing of course.
Run Map 1: One+ Mile Loop
Shake that cabin fever with a quick jaunt around the block. Run the route clockwise for a mild hill climb on Olympic or keep it relaxed and run counter. Perfect for beginners and anyone looking to stay close to home.
Run Map 2: Three Mile Out & Back
Looking to spend a couple extra minutes with Mother Nature? Take this route right through the heart of Century City and find yourself near the Cheviot Hills Recreation Center. Pace yourself on the way back and don’t forget to stretch your legs when you return home.

3. Kid’s Crafts
While we hope you are enjoying our daily, LIVE online classes (check the fitness tab on the app for dates and times), we want to provide you with additional, NO excuse, options to get moving! Click the links below to download pre-recorded workouts by our Crescent Heights team and you decide when is best to get your heart rate up!
a. Get drawing: Lunch Doodles with Mo Willems
b. Get Scientific: Make a Lava Lamp
c. Learn A New Skill: How To Make Origami
d. Get Creative: Make a Monster Collage
All the above will surely give a parent a much-needed break - except the Lava Lamp - we strongly recommend supervision on that one.
4. Make something new!
Whether you’ve been collecting photos, poems, or have a box of ‘scrap book’ intentions now is the time to tap into your inner Basquiat, Matisse, or O’Keefe and decoupage, upcycle, paint or simply order an adult coloring book. Art is therapy!
|
|
5. Go to the movies… in your living room of course.
Much of the entertainment world has shut down for the time being, but NBC Universal has decided to release a few titles for audiences to enjoy at home during this social hiatus. Check out the following movies and schedule a night in replete with ambient lighting and popcorn to make the viewing experience complete! On the plus side, you get to wear your PJ’s to the movies!
Adults Only Options
- The Hunt
- The Invisible Man
Family Friendly Options
- Onward
- Doolittle

Thank you again for choosing to maintain such a positive attitude. We encourage you to create, to FaceTime your loved ones, listen to guided meditations, soak in your oversized bathtub, or put together a handful of books and make a resolution to read daily.
Wishing you a wonderful week,
